Join the two thousand engineers who have volunteered to reside within the project corridor for the duration of the build. Housing is provided at the railhead. The project is expected to require thirty months; engineers should plan accordingly, or better, not plan at all.

• Track-laying operations on a rotating shift structure; the track does not observe weekends and neither shall we
• Nightly geometry verification to the four-second standard
• Mentoring junior residents in the traditions of the corridor

Build the operating system that orders daily life for 340 million devices. Your code will decide what hundreds of millions of people see first each morning. They will never know your name. The company will.

The Work

• Scheduling and attention subsystems of Ikigai OS; the notification worthiness engine
• Code review under the zero-defect standard; each release is inspected by a person whose name is recorded against it, permanently
• On-call rotation; the platform does not rest, and its engineers rest in optimized intervals

You

• Seven or more years in systems or mobile engineering, or an undeniable demonstration of equivalent devotion
• Comfort with pair programming, which at Ikigai is never optional and never announced
• Belief that software is a promise, and that promises at Ikigai are kept

The published annual deviation is four seconds. Your role is to account for each of them.

The Work

• Second-by-second variance analysis across eleven corridors
• Preparation of the Deviation Report, which is read aloud, quarterly, to those responsible
• Continuous improvement of the four-second figure, which is regarded internally as generous

• Statistics or operations research background; an intolerance for approximation
• Punctuality history will be assessed; arrive early to all three interview meals, though early is merely on time

Maintain the personal rest units adjacent to every workstation on floors 8 through 44. Rest is scheduled, and the equipment of rest must not fail.

The Work

• Inspection, sanitation, and readiness of rest units, sleeping bags, and blackout eyewear
• Logging unit status as occupied or vacant; these are the only approved designations
• Escalating irregularities to the floor supervisor promptly and without commentary

• Facilities or hospitality experience; discretion valued above both
• Comfort working around resting colleagues without waking them, or noticing them unduly

Coordinate SAISEI clinical evaluation among our volunteer employee population. There has never been a shortage of volunteers, and part of your role is ensuring this remains true without effort.

• Scheduling of evaluation sessions around, never instead of, the working day
• Collection of dermal fatigue markers and their careful, permanent recording
• Liaison with the Osaka campus on the human-performance dataset

• Clinical research coordination background, or nursing with ambitions of scale
• A bedside manner appropriate for colleagues who are not ill, merely studied

Help administer the programs that make Ikigai the most devoted workplace on earth: rest scheduling, tenet recitation, honor reviews, and the annual Loyalty Ceremony.

• Ceremony logistics; the courtyard must be prepared, and the outcome must be a surprise
• Recitation compliance tracking (current standing: 100%; maintain it)
• Delivering difficult news with appropriate ceremony
